***SUPER BOWL XLIV***

Indianapolis Colts (16-2)
vs.
New Orleans Saints (15-3)

Figured a topic should be made since a lot of stuff is going down before the Super Bowl, such as analysts making fun of Brett Favre like always (lol), a possible McNabb trade (though not likely), and Kurt Warner's retirement (goodnight, sweet prince).

Discuss, peons.

"such as analysts making fun of Brett Favre" - INT, INT, INT, Who cares

"a possible McNabb trade (though not likely)" - Philly is hogging all the black QB's

"and Kurt Warner's retirement (goodnight, sweet prince)." - Now he can go back to bagging groceries

85 - Not only will he kick a field goal, he'll throw a TD, proving that he's better than the QB and kicker that Cincy has.

As if Vikings fans weren't frustrated enough, the low hit on Favre in the 3rd quarter that led to an interception was retroactively called a penalty by the NFL.

Anyway, I'll be rooting for the Saints but I can't shake the feeling that they'll lose in an uncompetitive game. Hope I'm wrong.

Don't worry, Vick will get outta Philly this offseason. But, to who? My prediction is either the Bills or Panthers.

-Colts by 4, won't be as close as the score indicates
-Favre will retire for good this time. I think.
-The NFC West will be soooo bad next season.
-Vick to the Rams or Panthers?
-I think it's time for the Kolb-era in Philly, but if McNabb goes to the Vikings they'll go 19-0.
-That being said, the Eagles will keep McNabb.

Everyone seems to think moving the Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl was a bad idea. Here's the thing. Whenever, it's played, IT DOESN'T MATTER.

When the Super Bowl ends, I'm checked out of football for a couple months. I wouldn't even have the Pro Bowl on in the background for God's sake. Now, however, I might actually watch it. Suddenly a down week of no football with some meaningful football left to be played has an attraction.

Vick to the Rams. I think if their coach can create some sort of wildcat offense and incorporate vick and jackson they could be a 7-9 team next year. With the addition of Suh of course.

In not so un-reported news, Brett "He just loves to play the game" Favre decides to skip out on his seventh straight pro bowl. Just another one of has many prestigious records.

oh, and:

Kurt Warner's retirement (goodnight, sweet prince).

First time I watched the Pro Bowl from start to finish, even though it was just background noise for the vast majority of me watching. Finally Schaub gettin' some recognition. Easily one of the most underrated QBs in the league.

Did anyone see the Pro Bowl halftime interview with Drew Brees and Peyton Manning? It was the most tame, boring ass shit ever. Football announcers praise players to the high heavens for "saying the right things" and being humble, but that's because people will look down on a QB who doesn't conform to that stereotype. I could've answered the questions they were asked in the exact same way with no preparation, because it's obvious that they only say what people want to hear.

Also it was really awkward how Peyton would get asked a question about the guy who's sitting next to him, and have his back facing that guy when he gave his answer and vice versa.

Yeah, I think it was a very smart move to put the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl in terms of exposure. The problem is that the increased exposure just results in more people seeing how crappy the Pro Bowl is.
